I never want to be anonymous: Shah Rukh Khan

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan loves his celebrity status and admits he would never want to live without it even for a few moments.

'I don't want to be anonymous... I'm very honest about that. I love being recognised, I love people liking me, I love the fact that people scream when I go out, I think I'll miss all that when it's taken away, and I don't even think about it,' said Shah Rukh in an interview to CNN's Talk Asia.

'I think that's why I work harder every year, every day, every month and every moment. I'm not standing and counting the people outside my house, but I don't want them to lessen,' he added.

When Shah Rukh came to Mumbai in 1991 to make it big in Bollywood, he had no film background. But with his sheer hardwork and determination, the actor hit the bull's eye.

His popularity soarred high with blockbusters like 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge', 'Baazigar', 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', 'Darr', 'Pardes', 'Dil Toh Pagal Hai' and 'Chak De! India'.

Even though the 44-year-old never wants people's focus to shift from him, he says inherently he is a shy person.

'I'm basically shy and I have to really prepare myself to go and let myself go on a set. There are certain things I started, I tried them and then I started feeling very awkward doing them ... like laughing on screen.

'I find it extremely odd to laugh on screen. I find it extremely odd to use bad language so I don't do a film like that... kissing and love making (on screen) is the other thing, because I just find it odd,' said the actor who is currently working on his film 'Ra.One'.

The interview will be aired Saturday at 4.30 p.m.

Sweet SRK’s sugary woes!

SRK is busy working on his next home production Ra1 and trying hard to get back his six-pack abs! Although he ate very little but he wasn’t losing weight!

A source reports, “He just couldn’t understand why, so he went to anutritionist, who got him to write down his daily intake and they found the answer.

He used to have almost 20 cups of coffee everyday, which meant twenty spoons of sugar. Now Shah Rukh has his coffee black and no sugar.”

Later on, I called her one day and told her “Mujhe bhi apna bhai samjho”. The moment I said that, she was ready to marry me. Gauri and I have very brotherly sisterly relationship,” he joked.

Shahrukh Khan To Retire in 4 years

Shahrukh Khan, who became the badshah of people’s hearts with his flambuoyant lover-boy roles in films like DDLJ, Dil Toh Pagal Hai, Mohabbatein etc, is worried about the kind of roles he should be doing now.

Shahrukh Khan is wondering whether or not he could be an actor for long because people love to see him in a lover-boy’s role and at an age of 42 he couldn’t be romancing on screen for a long time.

“Shah Rukh knows that his time in Bollywood as an actor is limited. An actor can only go on for so long and with the kind of roles he plays – young romantics – then he will not be able to do that for any longer. He is already getting old. Shah Rukh hopes to retire from films within the next 3-4 years after which he will concentrate on production business. Shah Rukh will not make a complete exit from acting but intends to star in at least one film per year, but this will be for his own banner and the role will be of a supporting actor,” says a close source.

Shahrukh is popular with only his romantic avatar and that shortens his scope as an actor when he grows old… quite contrary to Aamir Khan who is likely to stick around longer than Sallu or Shahrukh.

The Story Behind Shahid’s Chiseled Body!

Shahrukh Khan may not have realized it but he has inspired one of the hottest stars of Bollywood – Shahid Kapoor to work that body up and be the dashing debonair he is today.

Shahid Kapoor who was on Sajid Khan’s chat show talked about his pre-Bollywood days when he just used to be a dancer in Shiamak Davar’s camp.

Shahid recollects that one day Shahrukh Khan dropped in at a show and when he saw Shahid, he immediately questioned Shiamak if he didn’t feed his troupe members well. This was because Shahid was really thin and lanky during those days.

Apparently Shahid Kapoor took that comment so seriously that he immediately hit the gym and carved his body into what it is today.
